The update brings the newsfeed refresh design, and carries a number of tweaks regarding how photos are handled.

BlackBerry has rolled out the latest update for the Facebook app for its BlackBerry 10 phones, the Z10 and the Q10. The update focusses on a number of tweaks related to photo uploading, tagging and viewing. And, the customary timeline design refresh will also happen with this version. The Facebook app version is now 10.2.0, and is now available for download from the BlackBerry World application store.

After the Android and the iOS versions got the newsfeed refresh with the app updates sometime back, the BlackBerry 10 version only gets the new layout now. Additionally, the update also allows you to create new albums from the photos page, helping keep the picture gallery organized. Any new pictures that you are clicking and uploading can be put in a new album, or one of the existing ones. Users can now tag photos that are already uploaded on Facebook. The update also brings the easy toggle option between pictures and albums. Just like on the web version, the photos option shows all pictures where the user is tagged or has uploaded. The albums option shows all photos the user has uploaded.

Incidentally, this update is available only on devices that are running BB OS 10.1. So, if you haven’t updated the Z10 or the Q10 just yet, we suggest downloading the system software update and then downloading the latest Facebook app.
