Elon Musk introduces audio & video calls on X: Here’s how to use it
HIGHLIGHTS

"Audio and video calling are now available to everyone on X!"

Musk has been hinting at this for a while now.

You can even customise who can call you and who can’t.

Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter he has been giving it a huge revamp. His first step was to rename the brand X. And ever since that, more and more changes and features have been added. Today, I am going to share new upgrades that Musk is bringing to X. A couple of new features have been added including audio and video calls on X. Let’s see what they are and how to use these features.

Sharing the news, the company tweeted, “Audio and video calling are now available to everyone on X! Who are you calling first?” Well, the first thought that might come to your head is that this makes X similar to the likes of Instagram, Facebook, and of course WhatsApp. This is not something out of the blue though. Musk has been hinting at this for a while now. He even went ahead to the lengths of saying that in the future he will only be using X to make calls and drop texts.

Let me share how you can use these features.

How to make audio and video calls on X?

Having an X account is not the only prerequisite to using the calling feature. For now, you need to have interacted with the person whom you wish to call in the messages section on X. In addition to this, you can even customise who can call you and who can’t. Here’s how you can use this feature:

Step 1: Go to the X app
Step 2: Then go to the Messages section.
Step 3: You will see a phone icon, click on the icon.
Step 4: From here you can make a video or audio call.
Step 5: The person you’re calling will be notified through the app.
