Speaking of Google Slides, you will now have access to an ever-present toolbar while in editing mode. On the other hand, in Google Sheets, a cell will be selected by default upon opening the application.

The enhanced toolbars are currently rolling out to all Google Workspace customers and users with personal Google Accounts.

Also, Google announced that it is rolling out timezone support for existing date+time smart chips in Google Docs to more accurately represent time across the world.

Recently, the tech giant introduced an updated homepage in the Google Drive mobile app on Android and iOS mobile devices to help users easily find the right file much faster. On the new homepage, users will see an updated suggested view that will show them even more recommended files at once, such as those that have been recently opened, shared or edited. In addition, Google has replaced the notifications view with the activity view, which was recently launched on the web. Here you can see items that need your attention such as pending access requests, recent comments and awaiting approvals– all in one place.
