ChatGPT, the popular AI chatbot, is currently experiencing a global outage. Users from around the world are reporting issues accessing the service, with many turning to social media to express their frustration.
At the time of this writing, Downdetector, an online outage tracker, has received over 25,430 reports of ChatGPT issues. A significant majority (87 percent) of these reports concern general service disruptions, while 8 percent and 5 percent pertain to website access and login problems, respectively.
OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, has acknowledged the outage on X (formerly Twitter). In a recent post, the company stated, “We’re experiencing an outage right now. We have identified the issue and are working to roll out a fix.” “Sorry and we’ll keep you updated!”
