YouTube shared the plans to launch a native app for the Vision Pro.
It is not like Apple Vision Pro users are currently unable to access YouTube videos.
Even since Apple dropped its Vision Pro in the market, they are all the hype. Every time I scroll through reels, I see these foreign guys experiencing, experimenting, and enjoying the Apple Vision Pro. Watching this, sitting here in India, I get major FOMO. But we’ll talk about that some other time. I have some news related to the latest gadget in town. YouTube is now planning to launch its own Vision Pro app in the future. Let’s get into the details, shall we?
I am not sure if you have heard about it earlier but apps such as YouTube, Spotify, and Netflix had reportedly said that they would not allow their apps to run on the Apple Vision Pro. This meant that users would have to use Safari or a third-party app to access content on Apple’s first spatial computer. However, things seem to be taking a turn in Apple’s favour.

YouTube app for Apple Vision Pro
In talks with The Verge, YouTube shared the plans to launch a native app for the Vision Pro. Well, since things are in the very initial stages, not much has been revealed about YouTube’s plans to bring out its own VisionOS app. When it will come out and the timeline is not known yet but let’s hope that it’s out by the time Apple launches the Vision Pro in India.
Well, it is not like Apple Vision Pro users are unable to access YouTube videos. As I mentioned earlier, Safari or a third-party app could be used. Just last week, a third-party app was launched called “Juno.”

It is an unofficial YouTube client and it is not necessary to have a Google account to use this app. On top of that, users can even watch videos without ads if they have a YouTube Premium subscription. Speculations believe that it is Juno’s popularity that forced YouTube to make a move.
