All the artists and photographers toting brand new Macbook Pros with Retina Display can finally rejoice as Adobe has released the Retina Display compatibility update for Photoshop and Illustrator CS6.
When the Retina Display Macbook Pros were announced, Adobe remained mum on when their Creative Suite would be compatible with the incredibly high resolution display. The best part is that the update is being rolled out to all customers at the same time through the update feature built into the individual programs.
Adobe Photoshop is the premiere editing suite from Adobe, that has been harnessed by artists from all walks of life. The versatile editor has been used by many to create stunning digital paintings, photographers have used it to create photograph that were perfect in every respect, while those with a stronger creative inclination have used it to create some mind-blowing photo-manipulations. Adobe Illustrator is a similar software, but deals completely with vector graphics and has been used for some of the most amazing art-work one could see today.
Apple’s Retina Display resolutions have definitely appealed to many, especially artists who require higher contrast and detailed rendition when working on their pieces. However, at the time, none of Adobe’s software could take advantage of all those pixels, which was a little disappointing. However, this new update from Adobe should bring joy to many.
