WhatsApp has become our primary messaging app now. And to keep it up and going, WhatsApp keeps introducing new features to make our texting experiences more handy. But, we are not aware of all the features that we can use to make WhatsApp much easier to work with.

Here are 5 WhatsApp features that you should start using asap:

1) You can use the same WhatsApp account on multiple devices

Yes, you can now use a singular WhatsApp account on multiple devices, including smartphones. Just like you do it on your PC, link your existing WhatsApp account on the new phone. When you install WhatsApp on a new phone, go to the top right hand corner and select ‘Link a Device’. Scan your QR code and you’re good to go.

2) You can control who sees your WhatsApp status

So, with this WhatsApp is kind of going on the Instagram route. You can choose who can and who cannot see your WhatsApp status. In addition to that, you can even add a voice note to your status now, instead of a picture or video. And you can even react with emojis. Not just this, you will see if someone has updated a new status in your chat list itself, with a green circle around their display picture.

3) Locking individual chats

You can now lock individual chats with your fingerprints to increase privacy. This can then be accessed only by your fingerprint or the security pin that was set up.

4) Channels

Channels is something new on WhatsApp, it was earlier seen on Telegram. It is an easier way to broadcast messages. Brands or content creators for example, could have their own channels which you can then follow as per your liking.

5) Transfer chats without Google Drive

WhatsApp now allows you to transfer your chat history from one Android device to the other without having to rely on Google Drive. You can even use this for an Android to iPhone transfer. These WhatsApp features and hacks make the App more productive and useful for us in the long run.
