Tracking your Apple Watch’s battery health and keeping it optimised is very essential. Today, I am going to tell you how you can maximise your Apple Watch’s battery life.

How to optimise the battery life of Apple Watch?

I am going to be sharing some easy tips that will help you optimise the battery life of your Apple Watch. Read along.

Update software

You have to make sure that your Apple Watch is running on the latest version of the WatchOS software all the time. You can go to the Apple Watch App on your iPhone. Then go to My Watch > General > Software Update. If a software update is required then you should connect your iPhone to WiFi. Make sure your Apple Watch has at least 50% battery, attach it to the charger, and update the software.

Check Battery Usage

You should keep an eye on the battery usage information of your Apple Watch. To do this, go to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and then go to My Watch > General > Usage.

Things to remember if you’re charging Apple Watch from a computer

If in case you are using a USB to charge your Apple Watch then make sure that the computer is on and not in the sleep mode and also make sure that it is plugged in. Apple Watch battery might drain if your computer is in sleep mode, or turned off.

Customise settings

  • If you disable Bluetooth on your iPhone then it puts more load on your Apple Watch and eventually increases the battery drain. Make sure that you keep Bluetooth enabled on your iPhone.
  • If you use you move your hands very frequently which turns on the display every time then we can disable it. Go to Settings on your Apple Watch then click on “General”, then select Wake Screen, and turn off Wake Screen on Wrist Raise. Now you can simply turn on the display by tapping on it or by pressing the Digital Crown.
  • You can even disable the heart rate sensor while you are running or working out by turning on the Power Saving Mode. You can do this by going to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. After that, go to My Watch > Workout, and turn on Power Saving Mode.
