How to increase storage on your smartphone?
Check your Gallery
More than often, our Gallery stores so many unwanted files that we might not need and might have forgotten about too. It is important for us to clear the cluttered gallery and delete those unwanted screenshots, blurry images, duplicate photos, and anything which is not needed now.
It will be easier to do so if you go to specific albums. Go to the specific albums for “Screenshots”, “Instagram”, “Videos” etc and delete the unnecessary stuff. You can even delete the entire folder if it is of no use. Make this a routine practice.
In addition to this, go to your trash folder and delete the files from there too, to create the extra space.

Clear Cache
You have both a hardware as well as a software cache on your device that stores data. If you do not clear your cache from time to time it will accumulate unwanted data and eventually eat up on your storage space. So make sure that you clear your app cache frequently. You should also clear your browser cache. Simply go to Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data.
Delete old audio files
Some apps such as YouTube, Netflix, Spotify etc allow users to download content on their devices to watch it as per their convenience. We download such stuff, watch it once, and forget about its existence. But these files are usually really heavy and take up a lot of internal storage. Make sure you keep an eye on such downloads and keep on removing them from time to time.
Remove unwanted files
When you open your files app, you will see that various miscellaneous files have been downloaded on your system. Now, unfortunately, you cannot select all files and delete them as certain files could even relate to various aspects of your smartphone too, such as apps and operating systems.
Just simply go to the files app, then Internal Storage, and then you’ll see files from deleted apps, old voice notes, or unwanted ringtones. Delete those.

Keep an eye on automatically downloaded content
While cleaning out your gallery you might have noticed some automatically downloaded files from WhatsApp etc. These take up a substantial amount of space on your device without even your knowledge. You can avoid this by turning the setting off in the first place.
To disable it on WhatsApp, go to Settings>Chats>Save to Camera Roll and then toggle it off.
Similarly for Snapchat, go to Settings > Memories > Save Button and turn off your automatic saving settings.
