How to update phone number or correct address on your Aadhaar Card: A step by step guide

It is crucial to keep your Aadhaar information correct, including your address, phone number, and name spelling, to prevent issues while doing important tasks. Steps to update your mobile number:

• Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website
• Step 2: Select “Get Aadhaar”
• Step 3: Click ‘Book appointment’
• Step 4: Choose your city or select “Others”
• Step 5: Login with your registered mobile number and OTP
• Step 6: Enter the Aadhaar details and select the “Mobile number update service”
• Step 7: Pick your “Appointment time”
• Step 8: Pay Rs 50 if applicable and receive an updated request number.
• Step 9: Track status of your application with the 14 digit “Update Request Number” (URN)

Note: Updating your new mobile number can take 30 days.

• Step 1: Visit the official UIDAI website
• Step 2: Select “Address update” under “My Aadhaar”
• Step 3: Login with the registered mobile number
• Step 4: Proceed to “Update Aadhaar”
• Step 5: Enter the new address with address proof
• Step 6: Pay the Rs.50 fee if applicable and receive an updated request number
• Step 7: Track status of your application with the 14 digit “Update Request Number” (URN)

Note: Updating your new address can take 30 days.
