ChatGPT has been the talk of the town ever since OpenAI released the GPT 3-based chatbot to the public. The buzz is back in full swing with the launch of GPT 4. You get to access the generative AI tool on the web but if you want to use it on your iPhone, then, here we have a hack for that.
1. Go to https://platform.openai.com/ on a web browser (works on mobile also). Then, log in to your Open AI account. You need an Open AI account to proceed. The reason is given below.
2. Click on the hamburger menu and tap on the “Personal” option. Next, click on View API keys.
3. Then click on the “Create New Secret Key”. Copy the key and preferably note it down somewhere.
4. Now Google Yue-Yang’s Github page. Within his Github page, you will find the ChatGPT-Siri pinned.
5. Scroll down till you find the latest version of ChatGPT Siri. At the time of writing, the version is ChatGPT Siri 1.2.2.
6. Click on the English Version. It will be downloaded and opened within the Shortcuts app on your iPhone.
7. Wait for the thing to load and click on Set up Shortcut.
8. Enter the previously copied API key here.
9. You can also enter the text prompt with which you want to trigger the shortcut using your voice.
10. You will find the ChatGPT shortcut in the Shortcuts app. Tap on it and a text field will appear. Enter your query/prompt and in a matter of seconds, ChatGPT will spew out an answer.
