Instagram highlights: How to create Highlights, merge and add custom covers

Instagram highlights feature allows you to showcase your favourite stories on your profile throughout the year. It is very easy to create Instagram highlight stories on your profile to keep your viewers engaged. You can create Instagram highlights from your current story or archived ones.  Here is how to create your Instagram Highlights. 

1. First, open your Instagram app on your mobile phone.
2. Then go to the Instagram story option.
3. Next, tap on the Highlight icon at the bottom.
4. Then you have to click on Add to Highlights pop-up option and tap on ‘New’.
5. Next, enter a name for the highlight story and edit the cover if you want to.
6. Finally, just tap on ‘Add’, and then Done to create your Instagram Highlights on your profile. 

To combine two highlights on your Instagram you can use the “Merge Highlights” function. Here is how to combine Instagram Highlights on your profile.

1. First, select the two highlights you want to merge on the app.
2. Next, simply click on the “Merge Highlights” button.
3. The highlights on your profile will be combined into a single highlight.
4. And the original highlights will be deleted.

Instagram has a lot of interesting features that you can play with to create an interesting profile. In case you want to add new stories to highlight.

1. First, open the Highlight feature on your app.
2. Next, tap on ‘More’ at the bottom right-hand corner.
3. Then, select Edit Highlight from the menu.
4. Choose Stories.
5. Then, click to checkmark the stories you want to add to the Highlight.
6. Once you are ready then tap on ‘Done’.

When you create an Instagram Highlight, the social media app automatically picks the cover image from the stories you're saving. However, you can also add custom Highlight covers which can include your logos, etc. Here is how to add customer covers to Instagram Highlights.

1. First, open the Highlight feature in the Instagram app.
2. Then tap on the ‘More’ button in the lower left-hand corner of the app.
3. Next, tap Edit Highlight, and then click on ‘Edit Cover’.
4. This allows you to see your current cover-up close, and also gives you a list of covers that you can choose from underneath it.
5. Just tap on the Image icon to the far left to select a custom cover from your photo library and adjust it as per your preference.
6. When you have finished, just tap on ‘Done’, and your new Instagram cover will be ready.

Instagram also gives you the option of removing or deleting photos from your profile. Here is how you can easily delete an Instagram Highlight. Instagram also gives you the option to remove certain stories from your Instagram Highlight, rather than removing the complete Instagram Highlight altogether.

1. Just, tap and hold the Instagram Highlight you want to remove.
2. Simply, select Delete Highlight from the menu.
3. If you want to delete only some pictures from your Instagram Highlight, then go to the Highlight feature and navigate to the story you want to delete.
4. Next, simply choose the ‘More’ option from the bottom right corner.
5. You will have to choose Remove from Highlight from the menu.
6. Just, tap Remove to confirm.
