Recently, Instagram announced a slew of features that it says are meant to “Collaborate and Create with Reels”. So, besides releasing Instagram Reels Remix, Instagram Reels Templates, and a setting that shares videos less than 15 minutes as Reels, now you can also use the front and rear cameras of your phone simultaneously to shoot what’s called Instagram Dual Reels.
So now let’s learn more about this new Instagram feature.
Instagram Dual Reels is a way to record content as well as your reaction to that content at the same time.
To capture both perspectives, the app takes the output from the phone’s front and back cameras simultaneously. So, you can ensure the content in the frame is good and aligned well and your reaction to it also matches what you have in your head.
Once recorded, do the basic edits you want and post.
1. Open the Instagram app and click on the plus icon in the top right corner.
2. Select the ‘Reel’ option from the drop-down menu.
3. On the next screen you will have the camera viewfinder along with a list of options on the left-hand side.
4. Tap on the camera icon marked as “Dual”.
5. Start recording by tapping on the white shutter button at the bottom. Press Next
6. Edit the video with effects, music, etc, and Press Next once you are done.
7. You can now tag people, rename audio, add location, etc and press the blue Share button. It will be posted.
That’s all.
