How to share your Instagram posts, stories & reels with only close friends: Easy guide

How to create a Close Friends list on Instagram

Step 1: Open the Instagram app.

Step 2: Tap your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.

Step 3: Tap the three horizontal lines present at the top right corner.

Step 4: Select the Close Friends option.

Step 5: Tap the circle next to the people you want to add to your Close Friends list. You can also tap Search to search for a friend.

Step 6: Tap Done at the bottom to save your changes.

How to share a post with your Close Friends list on Instagram

Step 1: Open the Instagram app.

Step 2: Tap the plus icon present at the bottom.

Step 3: Select up to 10 photos and videos from your camera roll to add to your post, or take a new photo or video by tapping the camera icon on the right.

Step 4: Tap the right-facing arrow present at the top right to edit your post, then tap that icon again when you’re done editing.

Step 5: When you’re ready to share, tap the Audience option.

Step 6: Select Close Friends.

Step 7: Now, hit Done at the bottom.

Step 8: Tap Share.

How to share a story with your Close Friends list on Instagram

Step 1: Open the Instagram app.

Step 2: Tap the plus icon present at the bottom.

Step 3: Now, tap Story at the bottom.

Step 4: Tap the circle at the bottom of the screen to take a photo, or tap and hold to record a video. You can also choose a photo from your phone’s gallery by swiping up anywhere on the screen.

Step 5: When you’re ready to share, tap the Close Friends option present at the bottom.

How to share a reel with your Close Friends list on Instagram

Step 1: Open the Instagram app.

Step 2: Tap the plus icon present at the bottom.

Step 3: Scroll to Reel at the bottom.

Step 4: Now, create a reel.

Step 5: When you’re ready to share, tap the Audience option.

Step 6: Select the Close Friends option.

Step 7: Now, hit Share
