How to restore your deleted Instagram posts & reels: Quick guide

How to restore posts or reels that you’ve deleted from your Instagram account

Content that you choose to delete is removed from your Instagram account immediately and moved to Recently deleted. Remember that deleted messages on Instagram cannot be restored.

Follow the below steps to restore deleted content on Instagram: 

Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your Android device or iPhone.

Step 2: Tap your profile picture present at the bottom right corner to go to your profile.

Step 2: Tap the three horizontal lines present at the top right corner.

Step 3: Select the Your activity option.

Step 4: Tap the Recently deleted option. 

Step 5: At the top, tap the type of content that you’d like to restore.

Step 6: Tap the post, reel or story that you’d like to restore.

Step 7: Tap the three dots.

Step 8: Finally, tap Restore to profile or Restore to restore content.

It’s important to note that content in the Recently deleted folder will be automatically deleted 30 days later, or up to 24 hours for stories that aren’t in your stories archive. During those 30 days, you can access deleted content from your account in Recently deleted on the Instagram app for Android and iPhone and either restore it or permanently delete it.

If you don’t see the content that you want to restore in Recently deleted, the content might be older than 30 days or 24 hours for stories.
