In this quick guide, we’ll guide you through simple steps to limit sensitive content on Instagram, ensuring a safer experience.

Step 1: Open the Instagram app.
Step 2: Tap on your profile picture present at the bottom right corner to go to your profile.
Step 3: Tap the three horizontal lines present at the top right corner.
Step 4: Select the Settings and privacy option.
Step 5: Tap the Suggested content option.
Step 6: Select Sensitive content.
Step 7: Tap the circle next to Less to see less content that you might find upsetting. Tap the circle next to More to see more content that you might find upsetting.
Step 8: Tap Confirm.
Keep in mind that when you choose to see more sensitive content, you’ll see more photos and videos that you might find upsetting in Explore, search, Reels, accounts that you might follow, hashtag pages and recommendations in your Feed.

There are some categories of content and accounts that are allowed on Instagram because they don’t go against the company’s Community Guidelines, but are not eligible for recommendations.

Step 1: Tap the arrow icon or the Messenger icon present at the top right corner of the feed.
Step 2: Open the chat of the person who you want to block.
Step 3: Tap the person’s name at the top of your chat.
Step 4: Tap the Options button.
Step 5: Select the Block option, then tap again to confirm.
