LG 2024 QNED TVs Announced: 98-inch Mini LED Option, Chromecast Built-in and More
Ahead of CES 2024, LG has announced its 2024 range of QNED TVs, including a diverse range of sizes from 43 to 98 inches. These new QNED TVs boast a slim design and are primarily classified into four series – QNED99T, QNED90T, QNED85T, and QNED 80T – with QNED90T and QNED99T featuring miniLED zone dimming backlight technology.
LG also revealed that the new WebOS 24 will enjoy four years of software updates. Apart from Airplay 2, the new LG TVs will also include Chromecast Built-in for seamless mirroring from Android phones.

LG 2024 QNED TV Features
LG still commits to OLED as its premium TV technology and will hopefully reveal details of its new 2024 OLED lineup in the next few days. The LG QNED or TVs are however a great option if you are looking for large sizes beyond 65-inch (which can be very expensive for OLEDs).
LG’s QNED TVs are known to use IPS LCD panels but the 98-inch QNED TV this year could use the VA panel manufactured by TCL.
As mentioned earlier, the QNED99T and QNED90T have mini LEDs in the backlight that can not just turn off but glow in different intensities resulting in what LG calls a “Million Grey Scale that differentiates between shades of grey and represents gradation with a 20-bit accuracy”
