Vivo V40 Pro vs Xiaomi 14 CIVI: Price, camera, battery, and more compared
Vivo has launched the new V40 series with the vanilla V40 and the V40 Pro. As usual, these Vivo V series smartphones again come with a focus on the camera with their Zeiss optics. In this article, I am doing a specifications comparison of the Vivo V40 Pro with the Xiaomi 14 CIVI. Both smartphones fall under Rs 50,000, so let’s go!
Vivo V40 Pro vs Xiaomi 14 CIVI
Let’s start with their displays. The Vivo V40 Pro features a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that supports up to 120Hz refresh rate and has 4500 nits of peak brightness. Whereas, the Xiaomi 14 CIVI comes with a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that also supports a 120Hz refresh rate but has 3000 nits of peak brightness.
Coming to their processors. The Vivo V40 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor, which is paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. This phone runs on Funtouch 14 OS which is based on Android 14. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 14 CIVI is packed with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. This smartphone runs on Android 14-based HyperOS.
For photography, the Vivo V40 Pro is equipped with a Zeiss triple camera setup, which holds a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor. For selfies, it has a 50-megapixel selfie shooter.
In the Xiaomi CIVI, you get a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. It sports a 32-megapixel selfie shooter on the front.
Lastly, the Vivo V40 Pro houses a 5500mAh battery with 80-watt fast charging support. However, the Xiaomi 14 CIVI has a 4700mAh battery and supports 67-watt fast charging.

Price and availability
Vivo has launched the V40 Pro at a starting price of Rs 49,999. You can purchase it from Flipkart from August 13 onwards. Now the Xiaomi 14 CIVI is available on Amazon at a starting price of Rs 42,999.
