Three OnePlus 2 alternatives for when the invite eludes you

Three OnePlus 2 alternatives for when the invite eludes you
HIGHLIGHTS

If you're going to wait for an invite, then you can wait for two of these phones. If not, the third is the perfect choice!

Over the past few weeks, reviewers here at Digit have been harped, and harped, and harped, by their peers, for OnePlus 2 invites. Well, we don’t have any, so we can’t help you there. What we can do though is suggest three phones that may be launched by the time you get a OnePlus 2 invite. Incidentally, those phones may be worth waiting as well, and are expected to be priced in the sub-30k region. So, without further ado, here's the cure for your frustration!

LG Nexus 5 2015
Why are we excited about this Nexus? Because it’s compact! If it can give us the performance and battery life in a sub-30k price point, then it may easily be a better buy than the OnePlus 2! It’s also the only phone on this list that comes with Android Marshmallow out-of-the-box and like all Nexus phone before it, it will certainly come to India. The rumoured specs include a 5.2 inch display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB ROM and a 3,180 mAh battery.

Moto X Style Edition
A Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. When that comes from Motorola, you have to be excited. We’re not very excited about the 5.7 inch display size, but you may think otherwise. It also boasts a QHD resolution for good measure, and a 21MP rear camera. There have been reports about the Moto X Style and Play will be launched globally later this year, which means it you will be able to buy it here soon.

If you're waiting for the invite, you may as well wait for this one!

OnePlus One

When waiting's not an option.

The two phones mentioned above are yet to come to India, which means you’ll have to wait for them for a while. OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has confirmed that the OnePlus One will continue selling, and that there’ll be no price drop. No matter, it’s still a really good phone to buy. If you have a budget of less than 25k, then go for this one. The 64GB version is available for Rs. 21,998 and you do not need an invite for it!
