This Belkin Lightning adapter for iPhone 7 lets you charge and listen with earphones at once
The new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus allow you to either charge your smartphone or listen to music. This will do both
Apple is shifting to a lighting and wireless headphones ecosystem when it comes to the newly launched iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. If you have already bought the new iPhones, you would have received the Lightning earpods along with the included Lightning to 3.5mm adapter in the box.

So the new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus will allow you to either charge your smartphone or listen to music using the Lightning earpods or your regular 3.5mm headphones using the given Lightning to 3.5mm adapter. But, how do you do both?
Well, accessories maker Belkin has come up with a new adapter called the Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar. If you are in the market for something that splits your iPhone 7’s lightning port into two, then the new $40 (Rs. 2675) Belkin adapter is probably your only bet. This yet to be launched adapter has a short 2.5mm cable between the lightning connector and the adapter that holds the 2 Lightning ports. It is expected to start retailing at Apple reseller stores and other popular multi-brand electronic chains.

The Belkin Lightning adapter is capable of 12W pass-through charging and claims to support up to 24-bit 48kHz lossless audio output. In addition, it also supports remote control and microphone from the Lightning earpods.
As we told you before, the launch of the new Belkin Lightning adapter for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus is still awaited, and when it does hit the market, it may not find itself the only player in the dual-lightning adapter game. For one, we are sure China has already started pumping out replicas. However, a U.S. based startup called ildockgear is also in the running to make the dual-Lightning adapter. The ILDOCK will let iPhone 7 owners use their wired headphones while charging. ILDOCK Plus will also be capable of reading SD, TF and a USB drive. The ILDOCK will cost much lesser that the Belkin adapter at $10 (Rs. 668) a piece. If you want to be one of the first few to get your hands on the ILDOCK, you can help crowdfund the startup’s Kickstarter campaign by clicking here.
