ThinkDigit Weekly Poll Results (4G in India)

Last week in the ThinkDigit Weekly Poll we asked you, “Is India ready to switch to 4G?” Over 700 of our readers took the poll, and we’d like to thank them for their enthusiastic response!

The ThinkDigit Weekly Poll options were “Yes, it is,” “No, it’s not the right time,” and “Don’t know, can’t say.” Interestingly, almost all the votes (676) were cast in favour of the first two options, with a slightly bigger number (349 votes) choosing “No, it’s not the right time.”

327 votes were placed in favour of “Yes, it is,” showing us just how many of our readers believe the India is ready to switch to 4G services, following Airtel’s Sunil Mittal’s vision of TD-LTE becoming the “de-facto 4G standard” in India, helping boost the country’s digital economy:

“With one of the largest pools of young population in the world, India will see massive growth in consumption of data and content over mobile devices and proliferation of mobile commerce.”

Only 30 votes, or roughly 5 percent of our respondents, chose “Don’t know, can’t say,” indicating a very low number of abstainers, with most of our readers casting a yes or no opinion.

Do check out last week’s poll results in the graph below. In the meanwhile, do check out our new poll, where we ask you “Will the Apple iPad face serious competition from Windows 8 tablets?”
