Spec Comparison: Here’s how the Moto X (2nd gen) fares against the competition

Motorola just announced the 2nd gen Moto X at Rs. 31,999 in India which will be available via Flipkart from midnight today. Motorola, which earlier captured the Indian market, with its highly competitive pricing seems to have another strategy in mind. The newly announced Moto X is priced higher than its predecessor which was a bit unexpected.

Earlier the old Moto X was aptly priced below the mainstream flagship phones and that made it a good option but since the Moto X (2nd gen) is priced a bit over 30K, it will face serious heat from the competition. The newly launched Moto X with its higher pricing will go up against veteran flagship phones in the market. such as the iPhone 5s, Oppo 7a, HTC One E8 and the trusty Nexus 5.
The new Moto X seems to be well priced when compared to its competition but the lack of a memory expansion slot will certainly hurt Motorola's new flagship device in India. Motorola has announced a 32GB version of the phone but it seems unlikely that the 32GB model will come to the Indian market, since that was the case with the old Moto X as well.
