Motorola is very smartly launching smartphones in every price segment with competitive specifications and is gathering a lot of buzz across the country. Recently it launched the Moto E, a low-budget smartphone for Rs. 6,999. We’ve already seen its performance capabilities and also done our standard battery test which turned out to be surprisingly good.
In the camera department, things don’t sound good as there is a 5MP fixed-focus camera and there is no flash to provide a fill-in when shooting in low-light conditions. There is no autofocus which means that you will be left with pictures which are not sharp as the focusing mechanism of the camera is fixed to a particular distance.
We clicked some pictures and found that the imaging sensor on the Moto E is not capable to handle low light conditions. Even in bright conditions the camera struggles to capture quality sharp pictures and as they lack details and colour vibrance. Even the Moto G has a 5MP sensor, but when compared to the Moto E, there is a vast difference. While the camera on the Moto G has an autofocus system, it also has a better sensor resulting in way better pictures.
So if you are hoping that the camera on the Moto E will impress, well we suggest you to bring down your hopes as the camera quality is just not up to the mark.
