Moto E: Battery performance test and comparison
The newest smartphone to hit the low-end category of smartphones is here and we test its battery to see how much juice it provides to power the handset
After the successful launch of Moto G and Moto X, Motorola announced the low-cost Moto E in India in an attempt to grab the market share of the sub-10k Android smartphones. While we already know the specs and the performance capability of Moto E, we now carry out our standard battery test to determine the potential of battery on the smartphone. There is a 1980mAh battery pack on the Moto E which sounds pretty good for a Rs.7,000 smartphone.
As you all know, we first charge the smartphone to a full 100% and then run a Full-HD video for one hour to determine the amount of battery loss. We also compare the results with other smartphones to see how it competes with other handsets. Here is how Moto E stands up to other smartphones when it comes to battery life.
The results clearly prove that the battery on the Moto E provides the best battery backup in its category, and furthermore, it even beats it's elder brother, Moto G. The smartphone didn't impress a lot in the benchmark performance tests but the battery backup is way better than its competition. Considering the good battery life on the Moto E, will you go ahead and buy the smartphone? Do let us know.
