The octa-core games have begun and we kick off with the Micromax Canvas Knight which is powered by a MediaTek true octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz and 2GB of RAM. Along with that there is a 5 inch full HD display which is an IPS panel. Now this means that the smartphone will need a lot of power and Micromax has put in a 2350mAh battery pack to provide the juice, but is it enough?
We carried out our standard battery performance test and compared the Canvas Knight with some worthy smartphones in mid-range segment. The test involved playing of a full HD video (on a full battery charge) on the smartphone with the display brightness on maximum. After one hour of playback, we check the amount of battery loss.
Check out the graph below for the results:
The results proved that the battery life on the Canvas Knight isn’t impressive and it is quite low when compared to smartphones in the Rs.15,000-Rs.20,000 range.
