Today, everyone looks for high-end hardware and a good design while buying a new smartphone. While it is a fact that Android devices hog a lot of power, manufacturers have been cramming in some large juice packs to provide longer battery backup in their smartphones.
The Vibe Z from Lenovo has it all. We have already focused on its sleek and elegant design, and also tested its performance via synthetic benchmark tests which gave some promising results. But the crucial part is: does the Vibe Z provide a good battery backup?
Our standard battery test includes running a full HD video on the smartphone with the display brightness on maximum and the Wi-Fi connected to an internet connection. After running the video for an hour, we see the amount of battery loss and calculate the results.
The test showed that the 3000mAh battery on the Lenovo Vibe Z lost only 10% of its charge while playing a full HD video for one hour. This shows that the smartphone can last for a full 10 hours if the video keeps on playing. When compared to major smartphones in the same category, the battery backup is far better than all of the smartphones and probably the best in its class.
