Lenovo Vibe Z: An enjoyable experience with popular games and movies on the big-screen entertainer

HIGHLIGHTS

The Vibe Z offers a promising experience whether you are playing games or watching movies thanks to its brilliant 5.5 inch full HD display

The Lenovo Vibe Z comes with a vivid 5.5 inch display sporting a resolution of 1920x1080p with a pixel density of 401ppi. Now this amount of pixel density makes the display really crisp and everything looks really sharp.

The smartphone also comes pre-loaded with a bunch of games as well as a simple to use video player with a clean-looking UI. The player managed to play (almost) every format that we gave it and full HD videos looked brilliant. Even the viewing angles are great and the colors on the display don’t seem to wash away when held at different angles. Even streaming high-resolution videos on apps like YouTube was no issue for the handset (provided you have fast internet speeds of course).

Apart from the great movie experience, the Vibe Z is powerful enough to play high-end games thanks to the Snapdragon 800 2.2GHz quad-core processor and the Adreno 330 GPU. Earlier in the performance and benchmark tests we had seen that the Vibe Z scored really high scores. This time we played a few games including Asphalt 8 Airborne, Dead Trigger 2, Real Racing 3 and Shadowgun to see the smartphone’s gaming capabilities. All the games that we tried are pretty high-end and demand high performing hardware. The Vibe Z didn’t show any signs of fatigue or stuttering and managed to run all the games flawlessly. The load time on all the games was pretty snappy and we didn’t see any delays. Texturing and details in games like Real Racing 3 and Asphalt 8 was top notch and the overall gaming experience was brilliant thanks to the large 5.5 inch full HD display. The handset did however heat up a bit after about an hour of non-stop gameplay.
