Lenovo Vibe Shot: Camera Samples
Lenovo's newest offering, the Vibe Shot, is all about the 16MP camera on its back.
A 16MP camera on the back doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll get good images from it. But Lenovo is pushing just that for its Vibe Shot smartphone. The company’s newest offering to Indian consumers is all about its camera and while specs don’t make the camera, in this case, Lenovo has done a pretty good job.
We’re yet to test the phone’s camera capabilities completely, but from the camera samples that you see in the gallery above, we’re pretty impressed. All the images were taken on a bright sunny day, meaning the conditions for shooting were optimal. Most smartphone camera today will do well under such light conditions, but there are those that end up overexposing images, or sometimes even making them dull.
As you will notice in the images, the Vibe Shot does really good in terms of details. While the colours aren’t really true to life, lot of users prefer more vivid colours. The details are nice, but we hoped they would be better, considering that the IMX240 sensor from Sony, combined with some software tweaks, have brought good results in phones like the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini and Samsung Galaxy S6.
What we’re yet to test though are the low light capabilities of the Lenovo Vibe Shot’s camera and what it can do when the conditions get tougher and the light gets uneven. Of course, indoor fluorescent lights will also be tried. So, stay tuned for the review.
