Lenovo Phab 2 Plus vs Xiaomi Mi Max: Benchmarks and specs comparison
The Lenovo Phab 2 Plus is powered by a MediaTek MT8783 SoC, 3GB RAM and boasts a 6.4-inch FHD display.
After announcing the Lenovo Phab 2 Plus back in Lenovo Tech World this year, the company has finally launched the smartphone to India. The new phablet features a large 6.4-inch display, putting it in competition with the Xiaomi Mi Max. The phone shares similar dimensions as the Mi Max, but is a little bit thicker, and has a dual camera setup on its rear.
On the inside, the phablet uses a MediaTek SoC, the new octa-core MediaTek MT8783. This is the latest budget SoC from the company, designed specially for tablets and phablets in mind. It uses eight ARM Cortex A-53 chips running at a max clock speed of 1.3GHz. This is coupled with ARM Mali-T720 MP3 GPU and is aided by 3GB of RAM. While we will be sharing proper test results after thorough testing, here is a quick look at some synthetic benchmarks.
Going by the synthetic benchmarks, it is quite evident that the phone is not very powerful and in the short time we were able to use it, that notion does not change. The phone lags constantly, there are stutters in apps, which further dampens the whole experience. Here is how the phone fares against the Xiaomi Mi Max, which is currently the best phone in the budget phablet department.
