In today’s competitive smartphone market, every smartphone brand is trying to deliver more at the most affordable price tag. Technology is evolving at a rapid rate and is now easily available to the common man. If we talk about the budget segment, one can now easily get powerful smartphone for as low as Rs.10,000.
We recently tried out the Lava Iris 406Q, a Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor equipped smartphone which is available for as low as Rs. 6,999. The benchmark tests impressed us as the scores were quite brilliant for such a low-end device.
But to have a great smartphone, you need a good battery life as well. The Iris 406Q has a 1700mAh battery pack and to see its potential, we did our standard battery test by first charging the smartphone to full 100% and then running a full HD video for one hour.
Check out the comparison below:
Given our standard video test format of running the same battery test benchmark for all smartphones, the Lava Iris 406Q might appear as an average performer as per the above comparison. In real-life scenarios though, if you don’t plan to watch too much of high quality video or play intensive games, the Lava Iris 406Q will easily last you through the day with some battery juice to spare. At its price point of Rs. 6,999, the battery performance is good if not excellent, especially when you are getting excellent core performance from its quad-core Snapdragon SoC.
