iQOO Neo 7 5G has arrived in India.

It shares similarities with Redmi Note 12 Pro+ like a 120Hz AMOLED screen, a 16MP front camera, and a 5000mAh battery with 120W wired charging support.

iQOO Neo 7 has launched in India at a starting price of ₹29,999. At this price, it stands in competition against the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ (also starts at ₹29,999). Both phones have some similar specs like an FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, similar dimensions, a 16MP selfie camera, dual-band WiFi 6, USB-C 2.0 port, 120W charging and a 5000mAh battery. 1. Display

iQOO Neo 7 has got a 6.78 FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen with 1300 nits peak brightness and HDR10+ support. Redmi Note 12 Pro+, meanwhile, has a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED panel with 900 nits of high brightness mode, 10-bit colour depth, HDR10+, Dolby Vision support, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

2. Camera

iQOO Neo 7 comes with a 64MP (OIS)+2MP (macro)+2MP (depth) triple rear camera setup. Redmi Note 12 Pro+ on the other hand, boasts a 200MP main camera (OIS), coupled with an 8MP 120-degree ultrawide, and 2MP macro shooter.

Both phones sport 4K30 fps video recording from the rear and 1080p@30fps from the 16MP front camera.

3. Internals

iQOO Neo 7 5G is powered by 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, coupled with UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5000mAh battery (w/120W charging). 

Redmi Note 12 Pro+ runs on a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, paired with UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.

4. Software and other differences

iQOO Neo 7 ships with Android 13-based Color OS 13, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, aptX HD codec, an in-display fingerprint reader, USB-C 2.0 port, and 5G support. It omits a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Redmi Note 12 Pro+ brings Android 12-based MIUI 13, Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB-C 2.0 port, and 5G support. It also has a 3.5mm jack and an Infrared sensor.

5. Design

iQOO Neo 7 5G’s dimensions are 164.8 x 76.9 x 8.6 mm and it weighs 193 grams. It uses a glass front but a plastic back and plastic frame. You can pick it in Blue, Grey and Gradient colours.

Redmi Note 12 Pro+’s dimensions are 162.9 x 76 x 8.9 mm and it is about 208 grams in heft. It has glass on both the front and back. You also get IP53 protection against dust and splash.
