HIGHLIGHTS

The all new HTC One (M8) has arrived in India and we take a look how HTC has made their best handset even better.

HTC announced its latest flagship device, the HTC One (M8), in India today at a very strategic price point of Rs.49,990. This came as a surprise because HTC is known for lavishly pricing its smartphones. The smartphone has been touted as the world’s best Android smartphone and to be honest it does look better than most of the premium devices from other brands.

The new HTC One has more metal and more elegance to it. The design is exceptionally great and there isn’t any other smartphone that seems to match the style behind the smartphone (well at least that’s what we think). The curved metal body and the brushed metal finish make the HTC One (M8) worth splurging your money on.

Upfront the smartphone has a 5-inch full HD display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The back has a new ultra-pixel dual camera with a dual-coloured LED flash and a dual lens that allows refocusing and some amazing new features that seem insane for a smartphone camera. There is also a 5MP front camera to take some awesome selfies. The smartphone also has HTC’s patented front-facing dual-stereo speakers and amplifier which the company claims, offers 25% better sound than the HTC One (M7).

On the inside, a Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz powers the smartphone. It comes with 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, HTC is offering 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot that supports cards of up to 128GB capacity. Just when you think that this is not enough, HTC is also giving a total of 65GB (15 50) of cloud storage on Google Drive. That’s a total of 209GB of storage space.

The smartphone runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the latest Sense 6 UI which comes with Blinkfeed and some new features with a much more vivid and colorful experience.

Overall the HTC One (M8) is a great looking smartphone with an excellent hardware performance package. Comparing it to other flagship smartphones, the HTC One (M8) is much more elegant and gives a more premium look.
