The Honor 8 is the company’s new flagship smartphone, which flaunts a premium ergonomic design that’s more than worthy of any flagship products out there. With a reasonable price tag of Rs. 29,999, the centerpiece of the new phone might be the dual rear camera setup but Honor has not forgotten the importance of a well designed smartphone. It doesn’t matter how good the specifications of a phone may be, people will not be compelled to buy a phone if it doesn’t look good. Staying true to this truth, the Honor 8 sports a glass and metal body that not only looks fashionable but feels premium as well.
The smartphone sports 2.5D glass on the front and an aluminium alloy frame at the back. This itself gives the phone quite a premium look and feel. However, that’s not the only trick the Honor 8 has up its sleeve. The rear glass reflects light in a unique way thanks to 15 layers of careful craftsmanship, which makes the phone stand out from the rest in the design department.
The phone is also quite compact thanks to its 5.2-inch display that is large enough to enjoy watching videos on, but small enough to fit comfortably in your pocket. In addition, you get rounded corners, helping you hold the device for longer periods comfortably.
The volume rocker, power button and fingerprint sensor are carefully placed in order to ensure comfort of use. The power button and the volume rocker are on the right edge of the phone and can be operated easily with just one finger. The sensor is placed behind the phone and located where the index finger rests on the rear of the phone. Furthermore, the sensor also doubles as a button, which can be used by users to customise it to open apps and execute other functions in the phone.
Of course, you also get a host of other features with the Honor 8 besides a great design. As mentioned before, the phone comes with two 12MP cameras that helps you take extremely detailed photographs. The phone is powered by a Kirin 950 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.
