In places like the capital of India, pollution is a big problem and having an air purifier is becoming more and more necessary with each passing day. With the state of things in mind, Digit has resurrected the Best Air Purifier category and included air purifiers launched between November 2021 and November 2022. For our best Air Purifier category, we have taken several factors into account, including the difference an air purifier makes in the air quality, how much area can an air purifier cover, features, design and ergonomics, and of course, the price at which all of this is offered.
Winner: Acerpure Cool C2 AC551-50W (Buy link)

Acer’s acerpure Cool C2 2-in-1 Air Purifier and Air Circulator is the first-ever winner of the Zero1 award for the Best Air Purifier. The acepure Cool comes with a 4-in-1 HEPA filter that is claimed to eliminate 99 percent of airborne bacteria, 99.97 per cent dust, and other contaminants. The acerpure Cool has a HEPA 13 filter and in our tests, it showed the highest drop in the Air Quality Index (AQI). The acerpure Cool 2-in-1 has a proper fan on the top, which rotates at 90-degree angles, helping the air purifier achieve one of the best air circulations. The acerpure Cool 2-in-1 is rather basic in terms of design, with a cylindrical shape and a fan mounted on the top. There is a handy remote control, which sticks to the back magnetically. The acerpure Cool can also be controlled via the acerpure Life app, which is available for both Android and iOS users. The acerpure Cool 2-in-1 is basic but does the job well.
Runner-up: Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde TP09 (Buy link)

Dyson, one of the most sought-after air purifiers brands out there, came second with its new TP09 Purifier. The Dyson TP09 AIr Purifier is equipped with a HEPA H13 filter and carbon filters that are claimed to capture dust, allergens, gasses, and other ultra-fine pollutants. Like the acerpure Cool 2-in-1, the Dyson TP09 also showed an impressive drop in AQI, and the air circulation techniques from Dyson also work pretty well, with the air purifier achieving one of the highest Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR). The Dyson TP09 also offers a lot of convenience and smart home features, more than other nominees in the category. Despite being a pretty solid product, and offering more than its competitors, the Dyson TP09 fell just short in few parameters, securing a second spot in our first-ever award for the best air purifiers.
2nd Runner-up: O2 Cure Hulk (Buy link)

The O2 Cure Hulk, which emerged the second runner-up in our air purifiers category is also an impressive product. The O2 Cure Hulk Air Purifier is also a humidifier, and comes with a 7-layer filtration system. Apart from the carbon and HEPA filters, the O2 Cure Hulk also comes with activated carbon, humidifier, a cold catalyst filter, and anion filters. The O2 Cure Hulk offers the most stringent filtration system in all of the contenders for this year’s award. However, the air purifier loses out in terms of power consumption, and the airflow with the only outlet being the top-mounted fans.
