OPPO and Marvel have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship. Both companies have seen great success over the past few years and in the process, have won the hearts of fans from around the globe. And now, both are about to unveil something special for their fans with their message of capturing the real you.
Thor: Ragnarok is just around the corner and fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in general will get to see the next chapter in the story of the God of Thunder. The Son of Odin has won hearts the world over thanks to his wit, strength and never-say-quit attitude. This time around though, the stakes are quite high as Thor has to deal with the destruction of his home of Asgard and even his nigh indestructible hammer, Mjolnir.
As if that isn’t enough, Thor will have to take on incredible challenges and work together with friends and allies to create a winning team. And in doing so, go through a process of self-discovery to learn what it means to be a superhero and prove to the world that he truly is worthy of the mantle of the Mighty Thor.
OPPO is no stranger when it comes to high stakes either. The company has faced many challenges in the form of competition and carved a niche for themselves when it comes to selfie-centric devices. However, the world is changing and the selfie-phone has to change with it.
Like Thor, OPPO’s new smartphone has gone through changes, both inside and out, ready to take on the world. In the movie, Thor realises that he will need more than just brawn to help him. So, he recruits the brilliant Dr. Bruce Banner to help him wherever possible. Similarly, OPPO has turned to Artificial Intelligence to augment the hardware and the snapped selfies. After taking a selfie, the smartphone will sort through an entire database of pictures to figure out the best filters and ways to improve the picture and apply them to the clicked selfie.
While most other beautification modes may look unnatural, OPPO claims that the use of AI will ensure that the selfies taken by OPPOs upcoming phone lets you capture and show the world, the real 'you’. If that turns out to be indeed the case, then OPPO could wear its tagline of “Selfie Expert and Leader” with pride.
