Performance beasts: Best flagship smartphones September 2024

Flagship smartphones are always the hot topic. This year, we saw almost every brand push smartphone innovation into a completely new level of competition. The year started with hot launches like the iQOO 12, Samsung Galaxy S series, the Xiaomi 14 and more in the first half, followed by exciting launches like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series, iPhone 16 and Google Pixel 9 series in the second half.

With most flagship launches now out of the way, September seems to be a good time to write an article dedicated to all the best flagships that are available to buy right now.

The smartphone’s looks, to its 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display, to the performance with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, to even the battery and charging – everything reeks of OnePlus. On top, this year we get some added goodies like the periscope telephoto lens with the 50MP + 64MP + 48MP triple rear camera and wireless charging. The OnePlus 12 makes for a superb all-rounder device for its price.
