Almost every smartphone maker is taking a leap and adding octa-core processors to their devices. Indian based manufacturers have already started selling smartphones running on eight core powered processors, while the well known international brands are still sticking to the tried and tested quad-core SOCs. Smartphones like the Micromax Canvas Knight, iberry Auxus Nuclea N2 and the Intex Aqua Octa running on MediaTek’s true octa-core SoC are available in the Indian market for as low as Rs.20,000.

By the looks of it, the Micromax Canvas Knight has the fastest clock speed among the three and is hopefully more powerful. In terms of battery capacity, the iberry Auxus Nuclea N2 grabs the first place with its 3500mAh battery. In terms of pricing the Canvas Knight is available at Rs. 19,990 and so is the iBerry Auxus Nuclea N2 while the Intex Aqua Octa is available for Rs. 18,500. The Intex Aqua Octa is also one of the biggest devices with a 6 inch display, although it has a 720p resolution rather than full HD 1080p display.
