Dell G15 Vs Lenovo LOQ Gaming Performance Comparison: Best RTX 4060 Laptop In Rs 1.25 Lakh

Updated on 14-Jun-2024

If you’re in the market for an affordable Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 powered laptop then you have two very good options under Rs 1.25 lakh price point. The first one is the Dell G15 5530 featuring the Intel Core i7-13650HX CPU, RTX 4060 GPU, 16GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD. On the other hand is the Lenovo LOQ powered by the Intel Core i7-13620H CPU, RTX 4060 and a combination of 16GB DDR5 memory and 1TB SSD storage.

The Dell G15 costs around Rs 1.25 lakh, at the time of writing, and the Lenovo LOQ has a relatively affordable price tag of Rs 1.04 lakh. So the question is, which of them offers more value for money.

Dell G15 Vs Lenovo LOQ: RTX 4060 Comparison Review: Design, Build Quality, Keyboard And I/O

In terms of design, the Dell G15 comes off as an all-rounder rugged machine. On the other hand, the Lenovo LOQ looks like a rather slim gaming laptop with an edgy design. In terms of portability, the Lenovo LOQ takes the crown but when it comes size and overall toughness and build quality, the Dell G15 is taking the lead here. Be it in terms of how the display hinge works, the overall flex in the lid or the deck area or the general wear and tear resistance of the materials, the Dell G15 fares better in these areas, with Lenovo being a close second.

However, when it comes to keyboard and touchpad, the Lenovo LOQ fares better. Thanks to a set of keys with great spring action and travel and a much bigger and smoother touchpad. The Dell G15 meanwhile has a really small touchpad, probably one of the smallest in the segment. Similarly, the G15’s key size is also relatively small.

When it comes to I/O though, both laptops have a strong array of ports, but the Lenovo LOQ stands out with its higher-speed USB-A ports, a versatile USB-C port with power delivery, and the additional E-Shutter button for webcam privacy. The Dell G15, while having more USB-A ports, does not offer the same speed or power delivery features as the Lenovo LOQ. Therefore, the Lenovo LOQ offers a slight edge in terms of overall port functionality and versatility.

Dell G15 Vs Lenovo LOQ: Display Comparison

When comparing the displays of the Dell G15 and Lenovo LOQ, several key differences stand out. The Dell G15 boasts a peak brightness of 339 cd/m², 100% sRGB coverage, 84% DCI-P3 coverage, and an average Delta E of 2.84. Meanwhile, the Lenovo LOQ has a higher peak brightness at 369 cd/m² but lags in colour accuracy with 61% sRGB coverage, 45% DCI-P3 coverage, and an average Delta E of 5.1.

The Lenovo LOQ’s higher brightness is better for bright environments. However, the Dell G15 excels in colour accuracy and coverage, which are vital for graphic design, photography, and video editing. The Dell G15’s lower Delta E indicates superior colour accuracy, while the Lenovo LOQ’s higher Delta E suggests more inaccuracies.

Overall, the Dell G15 is the better choice for precise colour reproduction. Its superior colour accuracy, full sRGB coverage, and high DCI-P3 coverage make it ideal for users needing accurate and vibrant displays. While the Lenovo LOQ’s higher brightness is notable, it doesn’t make up for its not so accurate colour performance.

The Lenovo LOQ, with its brighter display and better keyboard, I/O and a slim design, is an excellent choice for gamers who prioritise lighter weight and good performance in popular titles.
