The latest Scar 16 and 18 gaming laptop models are equipped with Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs. They offer up to 64GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 2TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. The ROG Nebula HDR display provides a 16:10 2.5K Mini LED panel with 1,200 nits peak brightness and a 240Hz refresh rate, ensuring vibrant visuals and smooth gameplay.

The aluminum chassis can house up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, NVIDIA 50-series GPUs, 64GB RAM, and 2TB storage.

Despite weighing in at 7.6 pounds for the 16-inch and nearly 10 pounds for the 18-inch model, they benefit from a new thermal architecture, enhancing airflow by 37% and reducing noise by 15%. The laptops provide various ports including HDMI 2.1, Thunderbolt 5/USB-C, and USB Type-A. Disappointingly, they use older IPS display technology rather than OLED.

The HP Omen 16 Max is tailored for gamers seeking a balance between performance and portability. As witnessed at CES 2025, the HP Omen 16 Max is equipped with Intel’s Arrow Lake HX processor, specifically the Core Ultra 9 275HX, alongside NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5080 mobile GPU.
