HIGHLIGHTS

If you are looking for something interesting to stream this weekend from home then you’ve come to the right place.

From time-travelling Sci-Fi to comedy and some action-adventure, here is our weekend binge guide.

It’s Friday and that means that once you log off from your work machine, you will take those 5 steps to your couch or bed, plonk yourself and stay there till Monday morning because staying at home is the new in-thing. See what I did there? Never mind. Moving on from my bad jokes, if you are looking for something interesting to binge this weekend we’ve got you covered. There is a mix of good, bad and interesting here so if you are that someone who likes to experiment or take a chance by watching something you wouldn’t, we recommend you go through this list thoroughly.

Dark Season 3

If you are one that loves the concept of time travel and thinks that Predestination is one of the best time travelling movies of all time, then you will definitely love Dark. The show has English dubbing, so that should help. If you haven’t seen the first 2 seasons, now is as good a time as any, as the third season releases on Saturday 27 June. The show starts a little slow, but bear with it and you will get hooked. Dark Season 3 will stream on Netflix starting June 27.

Bulbbul

With its roots in Indian mythology, Bulbbul may seem like a horror story from the get-go talking about a witch who kills people and we don't want to confirm or deny that as that is the hook of the movie. The premise may be simple, but know that this is Indian mythology with a slight twist. If you liked Tumbaad on Prime Videos, then this Netflix flick in one for you. Bulbbul is now streaming on Netflix

The Twilight Zone

We reviewed the second season of the Twilight Zone and you may want to check it out for a detailed analysis. The Twilight Zone is an anthology television series where each episode brings something new. Since each story brings with it a new plot, we suggest you give the first few episodes a go before diving in, if you haven’t seen Season 1. If you have, then why aren’t you watching Season 2 already? The Twilight Zone is now streaming on Voot.

Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom

Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom may not be the best film the Jurassic Park franchise has to offer, but hey, it has some mean dinosaurs in it and that’s what counts. If you want a loud action-filled movie to drown out the outside world then why not visit lands with prehistoric creatures? It stars the Guardian of the Galaxy himself, Chris Pratt and the Grandmaster, Jeff Goldblum. Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom is streaming on Netflix.

Bad Boys For Life

If you grew up in the ’90s there was only one reason you wanted to be a cop. Or rather a cop in the US – Bad Boys. Wisecracking jokes, over the top action and a plot that kept you at the edge of your seat, was the hallmark of the first 2 films. Nvvow, we must admit, we aren’t impressed with the third film in the franchise but for the sake of nostalgia, it gets the job done. The movie has some really funny moments, the return of over the top action and more.  Bad Boys For Life is streaming on Amazon Prime Video

Sameer Mitha

Sameer Mitha lives for gaming and technology is his muse. When he isn’t busy playing with gadgets or video games he delves into the world of fantasy novels.
