TGIF! It’s Friday and we’re almost done wrapping our heads around a barrage of smartphone launches with gorgeous displays. But since it’s the weekend, we usually like to shift focus onto a bigger screen, one that involves looking up. If you’re not getting out this weekend, don’t worry, binge watching is also a speciality of ours. Well, soon you will see Benedict Cumberbatch play the legendary innovator in The Current War, also starring Michael Shannon as George Westinghouse and Nicholas Hoult as Nikola Tesla. The film captures the great war for powering the new century. It AC Vs DC and it’s coming to theaters on November 24.

Transitioning from the Dark Web to some some Dark places with actual webs. We have a horror franchise returning to the big screen in 2018. Insidious: The Last Key looks to be full of dramatic and cheesy horror-movie makeup, with a dash of American Horror Story thrown into the mix.

LSD, meet Mind Control. Mind Control meet LSD. No, this ain’t the next season of Narcos. We liked the current one pretty much indeed. Wormwood is based on a true story about the workings of the CIA, America’s premiere intelligence agency that owns all our data (wink). On a serious note, the six-part series combines a long form interview and a dramatic reconstruction of the events leading up to the mysterious disappearance of US military scientist Frank Olson. Peter Sarsgaard plays the missing scientist in this Netflix original releasing December 15.

Since we are onto stuff that actually happened, here’s a Netflix ‘follow the star’ documentary about the queen of pop, Lady Gaga. The film presents an intimate look inside the pop star's life, her struggles, successes, highs and lows. Is it tough being a celebrity?

Stephen King is on a roll this year. After IT, another one of his stories is being adapted into a film. This time, Netflix decided to produce it. Gerald’s Game is about a woman trapped in handcuffs while her husband lays dead in front of her. Spooked already?
