OnePlus has finally launched its very first tablet, the OnePlus Pad. OnePlus launched this tablet in India on February 7th at the OnePlus Could 11 event where the company also launched the OnePlus 11 series and a few more products.
We are comparing the top 5 key specifications of the OnePlus Pad to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 which was launched last year in March. Let’s do this!
The OnePlus Pad comes with a premium design with the body of a CNC-machined aluminium alloy chassis along with a "Star Orbit" style. It features a circular camera ring in the middle which is a rare design and OnePlus said it's to make it easier to use the camera as most people use the tablet horizontally so placing the camera in the middle will capture better pictures. It comes in only one colour and that is Halo Green. It also features a 2.5D curved cover glass on the tablet's front.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 comes with a similar design to its predecessors Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. It has an all-screen front with no notch for the front camera. The Galaxy Tab S8 comes with a metal body and it's not very thick but we can’t say it’s sleek as well. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 is a decent size which can be used day-to-day. It has a magnetic cutout on the back for the S Pen where the pen sticks and charges.
The OnePlus Pad features an 11.6-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2000 x 2800 pixels. The display supports Dolby Vision, 1B colours and a 144Hz refresh rate.
