Inter-Polytechnic Techno-Cultural Festival – Anvesh-11

This month on 13th and 14th you will get to see the newly transformed environment of Vivekanand Education Society’s Polytechnic, gleaming in the colours of Inter-Polytechnic Techno-Cultural Festival “Anvesh-11” This polytechnic is located in Chembur, Mumbai and considered as one of the most reputed polytechnics in Maharashtra imparting quality education for last 27 years.

Usually polytechnics cater to the students of age group 16 to 18 years and have a tradition of a very straightforward routine of conducting classes, practicals and exams. Like degree engineering colleges you don’t see much of inter collegiate events taking place in polytechnics. May be students of this age group are considered to be too young for organizing such intercollegiate events at such a grand scale. But V.E.S. Polytechnic truly believes potential of its students. To give its students, the taste of organizing grand event and in order to build the platform for polytechnic students to realize their potential, V.E.S. Polytechnic is all set for hosting its first ever inter-polytechnic techno-cultural festival Anvesh-11!

“Anvesh means exploration. It’s a platform to unearth your talents, explore the vistas of excellence and search the Inner-You, which is trying to reach out for expression. It’s a time to explore your creative acumen and start believing in yourself, in your dream and in your ambition “said Anvesh-11 staffs In-charge Prof. Dinesh Girap, the one who conceptualized the whole event.

So let’s get started with a small preview of what’s COOKING UP in the college. Keeping in line with the tradition and culture of Vivekanand Education Society, the events have good mix of tradition and contemporary colours. The events like talent hunt, the daily orange, minute to win it, rangoli making, tattoo designing, nail art, sketch making, LAN gaming, mehendi designing are already drawing attention of students.

To make this event successful there’s a whole full-fledged hardworking team is striving their best. Facebook group “VESP ANVESH’11” is already a big hit among the students of VESP and its alumni to share the latest happenings. For online registrations, V.E.S.P. students have made available a separate website www.vespanvesh.in.

Anvesh-11 student’s secretary Mr. Pranav Jadhav is very optimistic about large number of students attending the festival because the festival has Digit as tech-media partner, India’s number one regional news paper Lokmat as print-media partner and IBN-Lokmat as tele-media partner. While major part of the funding will be done by institute itself, the festival is also supported by few corporate sponsors like Midcity Infrastructure Pvt Ltd. No wonder that winners are going to get amazing goodies and vouchers

Prof Anu Bhatia and Prof. Surendra Rawat both instrumental in motivating students for taking up this task of organizing festival hope that the students will acquire lot of organizing and management skills during this event and it will create a mark in polytechnic education system and the festival will keep blooming, prospering year after years. “We ensure that along with the fun filled enjoyment we are also bound by the social responsibilities as responsible citizens of this country” said Principal Prof. Vikrant Joshi.
