DOMO Slate X3G SE : Features and specifications

Today we have with us the DOMO Slate X3G SE tablet. It has an MRP of Rs. 10,990 but is available to users at Rs. 8,888.

With the number of tablets available today in the Indian market, the DOMO Slate X3G SE offers one unique feature – dual-SIM (3G and 2G, GSM GSM). In terms of its specifications, it has a 7-inch LCD display with a 480×800 resolution giving it a 240ppi. The device has an ambient sensor to adjust the brightness of the display automatically. It is relatively slim at 13mm thickness and weighs 325gms. Straight out-of-the-box, it runs on Android 4.0 ICS.

Under the hood, a 1 GHz A10 dual-core processor along with 512MB of RAM powers the device. For its graphical capabilities, it has a PowerVR SGX 531 GPU. It has 4GB built-in storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.

The DOMO Slate X3G SE tablet supports a large array of audio and video formats such as HE-AAC (V1 and V2), AAC (8 to 320 Kbps), MP3 (8 to 320 Kbps), WAV, OGG, APE, FLAC, AC3 and WMA (5 to 320 Kbps), H.264 video up to 720p, MPEG-4 video, AVI Video, RM, RMVB, MKV, FLV, MPG, MP4, 3GP, DAT, MOV. A few formats require additional 3rd party installations. The device also supports 1080p video playback.

The Slate X3G SE tablet also boasts of a 4000mAh battery, which the company claims, will last user for 3 to 5 hours depending upon usage.

The rear of the Slate X3G SE has a 2MP camera and the front has a VGA camera. In terms of the connectivity options it has the headphones jack, microSD card slot microUSB card slot and DC in. All the ports are neatly laid out at the bottom of the device. The left of the device has a flap. Below the flap rests the port for the two SIM cards. Above the display rests the earpiece, which can be used to make calls from the device. The right spine of the device has the volume rocker and the power button.

Apart from the SIM cards, the device also supports Bluetooth v4.0 as well as Wi-Fi connectivity. The tablet features built-in GPS. The UI of the device is stock Android and it isn’t cluttered with any preloaded apps but does come with an FM Radio and an FM transmitter. You do have access to the Google Play store for your entire app needs. It also supports Google Maps so users have directions wherever they wish to go.

Setting up the DOMO Slate X3G SE is very simple. Switch it on and connect the device to Wi-Fi. Enter your Gmail details and you are all set to use the device and download apps. The Google Play store gives you access to a plethora of apps that you can download and use on the Slate X3G SE tablet.
