Another week has gone by and we’re looking forward to the weekend as much as you guys. So, in order to celebrate, we’ve come up with a list for all you guys out there who’re planning on staying home. Look, we’re not party animals either. We’d much sooner wrap our hands around a nice remote or controller and plonk our butts down to watch or play something. So, here are our picks for what you should be bingeing on, this weekend.
Netflix
Bill Burr- Paper Tiger
The angry redhead from Boston returns with a rip-roaring special that is sure to offend and make you guffaw in laughter at the same time. There have been a spate of comedians that have been fighting against ‘cancel culture’ and Bill Buss is one of them. Do not miss this special.
Zodiac
Directed by David Fincher (Fight Club), Zodiac is a tense and slow-burn thriller that tries to piece together the mystery of the Zodiac killer. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Junior, the film delivers the goods in the form of excellent twists and a compelling story.
Apostle
If you’re in the mood for a wild horror ride then Apostle is right up your alley. The film follows a mysterious stranger who makes his way to a small isolated community to find his sister. After a creepy introduction, the film pulls no punches when it comes to violence.
Hotstar
Logan
Logan is one of the best X-Men spinoffs out there. If you didn’t know already, the film follows the lives of Logan and X-23 as they avoid being captured and experimented on. Logan is a violent yet heart-warming tale of a man at his wits end and what he has to do to pull through.
Bad Times At El Royale
One of the quirkiest films on this list, Bad Times At El Royale is pretty much a battle royale that plays out in the confines of the El Royale. The film stars Jeff Bridges and Chris Hemsworth in an inspired role. If you like neo-noir thrillers, then this film is just right for you.
A History of Violence
One of the most unexpected films on the list, A History of Violence is based on a graphic novel. Although it does veer from its comic book roots, the film doesn’t shy away from violence and the consequences of it. Starring Viggo Mortensen and Ed Harris, this is not a film for the faint hearted.

Aquaman
Look, what more needs to be said about DC entertainment’s most profitable film in recent times. Aquaman may not be the smartest film on the block but it makes the most of its setting, giving us some impressive visuals and battles. Plus, if you like superheroes and haven’t watched Aquaman, then it’s time you give it a shot.
Overlord
You know you’re in for a good time when you get a horror film with Nazis! Overlord was produced by JJ Abrams and tells the story of a company of American soldiers who stumble on a plot to resurrect the dead and use them as soldiers. A fun-filled horror film that goes for the jugular, Overlord is not to be missed.
The Godfather
Time to go down memory lane with one of the greatest films ever made. The Godfather is a true classic and stands the test of time as a work of art. The story of Michael Corleone and his family transcends time and is relevant even today.
