DIPLE

DIPLE is a compact, easy-to-use kit which transforms any smartphone into a microscope. Ever wanted to glance at your own RBCs? Just get a blood sample (kids – under adult supervision) and fire up your smartphone-powered DIPLE! Not just this, you can observe microorganisms, other cells, delve into mineralogy or even materials science with this kit. You can get up to 1000x zoom using a smartphone or a tablet as a monitor. The setup? Obnoxiously simple! Simply place your smartphone camera on the optical system and you’re all reared up to go. The design is portable and robust, where it can easily brush off a drop… or 20. In addition to your phone’s camera, the DIPLE has additional lenses which allow different levels of magnification. DIPLE Red has a resolution of 3 microns which lets users gaze at cells or microorganisms in our surroundings. DIPLE Grey sports a resolution of about 1 micron, which, in addition to cells, also lets users see bacteria! DIPLE Black, the most powerful one, has a resolution below 1 micron which lets you examine cells in exquisite detail. The kit is fully modular. Lastly, there are two different sample stages offered to users – the standard stage, with a  mechanical support for your sample and you need to manually move your slides to scan different areas and the fine stage, where the slide can be moved using mechanical screws. Observing the microworld just become more accessible and fun!

Nebula Cosmos Max

What if you could have the immersiveness of a 4K, large-screen TV with the portability of a laptop? Anker’s Nebula Cosmos Max attempts to bring you just that. This company specialises in entertainment-on-the-go products and their latest offering, the Cosmos Max, is essentially a 4K projector designed for indoor spaces. Yes, the Cosmos Max throws up 4K on a wall! You get 4K visuals, 3D audio and Android 9 experience in this all-in-one cinema projector. There’s also a 1080p version of this product called the Cosmos. The projector is capable of projecting 1500 ANSI Lumens images (shrug your worries about dull projector images), it houses four 10W speakers to bring you ‘3D sound’ or surround sound.

Portability is its USP, and the unit weighs a mere 2.9kg. Along with mobile 4K technology, you also get the option of an adjustable display size which caps at 150 inches! 90-inch 4K TV, who? It also comes equipped with HDR10 imaging as well. The best part? The Cosmos Max can detect if you’re watching non-HDR content and actually upscale it using Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) in real-time. For fast-paced content and games, the Nebula Cosmos Max has yet another clever trick up its sleeve – Dynamic Smoothing. It smooths over pixels and ensures that visibility is not compromised even during fast-paced action. Additional features include Dolby DD+ sound, automatic image correction, quiet fans, versatile connectivity (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mirror Cast, Flash Drives, HDMI and more) and a 12-month warranty. Best part? You can mount it on your ceiling and watch content lying in bed!
