TONE Factory

Designed by young vinyl enthusiasts and industrial designers, the TONE Factory is a turntable for analog beginners and aficionados alike. Featuring a minimalist design, the TONE Factory turntable comes integrated with Bluetooth technology so you can connect any Bluetooth speaker or headset to this device to wirelessly enjoy your records. Of course, if you already have a spanking hi-fi system, the TONE Factory turntable can integrate with your existing setup as well. The visually distinguishing feature of the TONE Factory is the circular base which houses the motor, phono stage, and the Bluetooth module. The chassis and the platter sit neatly on top of the base and this allows for the flat, minimalist look of the device. Speaking of the chassis, it is made of MDF that has some CNC-machined elements and features a clean painted look. The injection-molded tonearm is also extremely lightweight. The TONE Factory can play both 33 and 45 RPM records and it features a switch for speed change. The sound quality isn’t affected much by the motor as the rotor is connected using a rubber belt that dampens some of the vibrations coming from the motor. Lastly, these delicate parts are covered with a dustcover. At the end of the day, the TONE Factory focuses on giving you a plain and simple vinyl player without any fancy bells and whistles.

Galerdo

Utilising bone conduction technology, Galerdo is an AI-enabled audio tracker designed for swimmers. This nifty little gadget won the CES 2020 Innovation Award. Featuring a cowry shell shape, Galerdo sits securely in at the back of your head inside the swim cap or it can be fastened to swimming goggles. While the market does have other devices that track your swims, Galerdo uses AI to track swimming in real-life with voice feedback informing you about your laps, distance, time and speed. It can also play the swimmer’s favourite tunes with its bone conduction technology. So, swimmers get a built-in, real-time swim tracker, an AI-enabled swimming coach, and a music player – all in one device. The most important bit is that swimmers do not need to connect Galerdo to the internet or any device via Bluetooth to record the swimming metrics. It features a built-in swimming-specific algorithm that can independently record, track and analyse lap information. The Galerdo recognises swimming strokes with embedded sensors that analyse the movement of the head, instead of studying wrist movement like traditional swimming wristbands. Swimmers can access the accompanying app to review the records of their laps, which are segregated according to different strokes. However, the device can only function in regular rectangle or square-shaped pools up to 50m long, and not in irregularly-shaped pools. The Li-po battery lasts for 4-6 hours on a 1.5 hour charge time.

THINKDIAG

THINKDIAG is a palm-sized, portable automobile diagnostic tool that can perform enhanced tests for the entire electronic system (such as ABS and SRS). You can also perform actuation tests utilising the device to test every system’s individual actuator including doors, windows, windscreen wipers and more, to understand malfunction causes. THINKDIAG is compatible with 115 different car brands across the globe which makes it an effective multi-purpose tool. The tool carries out full system scans as well as assists users in making maintenance decisions as per the need of the vehicle. The accompanying app displays visual comparisons of real-time data to understand your car’s health. This nifty tool does away with several bulky diagnostic tools and packs all of them into its small form-factor. So, the inconvenience that presents itself with lugging around large diagnostic tools with big screens, heavy connector cables and more is gone. All users need to do is plug THINKDIAG’s dongle into their car’s OBD II port and connect it to their smartphone via Bluetooth. That’s it. This turns your smartphone into a professional diagnostic tool. Purchasing the tool gives consumers two years' worth of the manufacture software subscription for free. This gives them access to all the diagnostic functions available including read/clear codes, live data streaming, maintenance functions, and actuation tests. There’s also a handy feature that brings in the expertise of professional mechanics in the area when the owners are unable to resolve the issues with their vehicles themselves. Additionally, the ThinkMoments Community is also a touch away where users discuss their vehicles, experiences and more.
