COVID-19 vaccine slot availability: How to get email alerts and telegram notification
COVID-19 vaccination for 18+ started on May 1 in India
People are facing difficulty in booking a vaccination appointment in India
Here is how to recieve alerts for availability of vaccine slots in India
The COVID-19 vaccination program for everyone above the age of 18 in India started on May 1. However, since a lot of states were not able to procure large amounts of vaccine doses, many people are still unable to successfully book a slot on the CoWIN website. CoWIN is the official website for registering and booking an appointment to get inoculated against the Coronavirus. The government extended the eligibility criteria to include most of the population in India as there is a spike in new COVID-19 cases in India.
While people can register on the CoWIN platform by going to the website or using the Aarogya Setu app, the appointment slots for 18+ is not available in many regions or is booked for the next few weeks already. As such it can get a bit exhausting to check the availability of slots every day and sometimes being too late to book one. Some good samaritans and programmers have come to the rescue in setting up alert systems that will inform people when the vaccine slots become available in a particular city. Here are the three such websites that will notify you once the vaccination slots are available in your city.
