BSNL has introduced a bunch of new plans under its Bharat Fiber broadband offering. When you visit the BSNL website, you will see a bunch of plans ranging from Rs 449 per month to Rs 9,999 per month. So how do you know which are the new plans? Well, they have a small yellow tag on them with the text, “Till 29-Dec” written on it. This implies that the plan will be available from BSNL till 29th December.
BSNL has introduced 4 new plans, and they come with some interesting offerings. So, let’s take a look and see if these 4 new plans are worth considering and how they stack up against Airtel Broadband, JioFiber and Tata Sky Broadband. One thing to note is that when we say unlimited download in the section below, it means there is a data cap of 3300GB per month. Also, all the prices mentioned below are before tax.
For Rs 499, users get a speed of 30 Mbps unlimited downloads. With this plan, users also get unlimited local + STD calling.
For the same Rs 499, users get a speed of 40 Mbps unlimited downloads. That’s 10 Mbps faster than what BSNL is offering. With this plan, users get access to a bunch of streaming services including Voot Basic, Eros Now, Hungama Play, Shemaroo me, Hoichoi, and Ultra as a part of the Airtel xStream app.
Charging Rs 100 lower than BSNL we have the JioFiber plan priced at Rs 399 offering 30 Mbps speed with an unlimited data cap. There are no OTT subscriptions as a part of this plan.
Moving up the ladder we have the BSNL Bharat Fiber Rs 799 plan that gives users 100 Mbps speed with unlimited data. With this plan, users also get unlimited local + STD calling.
For the same Rs 799, users get a speed of 100 Mbps unlimited downloads. With this plan, users get access to a bunch of streaming services including Voot Basic, Eros Now, Hungama Play, Shemaroo me, Hoichoi, and Ultra as a part of the Airtel xStream app.
