What is iOS 16?

For the unversed, iOS 16 is the latest update to the software on iPhones that was unveiled at WWDC 2022. It is compatible with iPhone 8 and above. Currently, the company is releasing the iOS 16 beta version. The public beta build should be out in July 2022 and the stable build could come out in the fall.

1. Shared Library in the Photos app that lets you “combine photos and videos with the people closest to you.”

2. AFib (atrial fibrillation) history in the health app shows data from the Apple Watch. 

3. Lockdown mode that limits the permissions and features to ensure enhanced security.

4. Clownfish wallpaper, which was first introduced by Steve Jobs for the first iPhone

5. New lock screen fonts that are more minimal.

1. Apple Book UI Changes like a cross option at the top right corner to close the book instead of an arrow on the top left corner.

2. Media playback controls in the Photos app moved to the left

3. Convert a Physical SIM to eSIM without going to your telecom provider.

4. Continuous Scroll option in AssistiveTouch menu

5. Dictation beeps changed to a meeker one.
